PROPOSAL The EEWB at _________________(Place) on Advances in Science and Technology is the evolution of a series of lectures, workshops, seminars and schools inspired by the Gondar School of Science and Technology. The major objectives of ESAN SSTs include 1) to inspire the next generation of science and technology leaders 2) to introduce the culture of science and technology and how the two are used to improve quality of life 3) to demonstrate the application of science and technology for sustainable development 4) youth development and life skills 4) special needs education 5) women in STEM 6) teacher development and technology tools for teaching and learning and 7) to enhance the intellectual environment of the host institution. The SST will include several modular courses and seminars that are tied to the regular curriculum. Sections will be added as needed to accommodate any field of study within the university. This allows for future planning and enhanced participation of local and international academics living abroad. SST will also host outreach for the public, high school and preparatory students and teachers.
