Dear Colleague

The Ethiopian train is chugging along -Washington DC or Bust- We have now 8 days from the conference. We have some adjustment to the program because of logistical issues.  The conference starts at 9:00 AM you can begin arriving at 8:30 AM or so.

4) The Ethiopian Embassy is an organization led by highly energetic young diplomats and staff. I consider it going to Ethiopia, the extremely excited about this and they will support our presence to the finish. 
5) Wifi will be available.  It is possible that we can broadcast the events on like to our social media followers.  Education is an issue for everyone. 
6) We are not sure about the turnout. We are expecting not fewer than 100 people. To manage registration to  guide participants, to take notes at the breakout sessions. We have some volunteers, we are looking for more.  If you are in DC area, please email me. I will ask Dereje Abera, Gezahegn Gorfu, Raniya Al-Matari, and Bereket Mamo to volunteer
7) Speakers- I believe you know what to do. We are on standby to address your needs
 
8) Don’t forget to buy the raffle ticket and other projects related to this activity. We have book project, we have the one dollar campaigns, we have run for books  and educational material support, etc.  
We have a 5K run in Raleigh NC organized by the NC Community of Ethiopians and Eritreans to support ESAN book project at Books for Africa.  We also have a second 5K run in Washington DC organized by OnePupil. 
 
9) Our conference is getting the attention of international programs such as Institute of International Education,  Carnegie Mellon,  and other agencies,  there will be displays about the programs and those who participate will have the opportunity to learn about them and where to find them.  Also you can always to the websites and explore the opportunities (https://www.iie.org/)

The train is almost in DC.  We have been working very hard to manage a large number of abstracts. The conference attracted attention of the educator community and the community of Ethiopians at large.  We will keep updating this program please follow it here (https://esannet.com/program/)
