About the Conference
The conference provides a multidisciplinary forum to engage educators, policy experts, R&D experts, educational non-profits and professional associations, and interested citizens. It presents an opportunity to learn from each other to network, and identify pathways for institutional collaborations in promoting and supporting quality and equitable education in Ethiopia. The stakeholders of this conference include policymakers, institutions of higher learning, Teacher Training and Vocational Colleges and K12 systems, special needs communities, non-profits, professional societies, business communities, R&D organizations, and volunteer groups.

Organization
The conference will have a duration of one full day, divided into morning and afternoon sessions and is concluded with a panel discussion. The deliberation of the conference will be published online for wider exposure.
Objectives
- Provide a forum for the Ethiopian educators to dialogue on effective collaboration and networking
- Mapping the path from barriers to enabling conditions for effective research partnership (Industry-University, Professional abroad versus higher education institutions in Ethiopia, etc)
- Showcase the achievements of the Ethiopian scientific community, students in all fields of higher education, as well as research education mission of Ethiopian institutions of higher learning
- Discuss advances in science and enabling technologies for education and sustainable development
- Connect educated and experienced resourceful Ethiopians with the business community
- Conduct roundtables to formulate partnerships and networks both in higher education and business growth
- Enhance the visibility of Ethiopian professional and Academic Societies, such as the Ethiopian Academy of Sciences.

Who should Participate ?
Universities and Colleges, K12 communities, professional organizations, government agencies such as Education and Capacity Building, Ethiopian Science and Technology Agency, Ethiopian professional and academic societies (in Ethiopia and abroad), students and student groups, Education based Ethiopian run organizations, NGOs specializing in special needs and public education the list will go on. Leaders and members of these groups will be invited to participate and to support the Ethiopian Educators without Borders.
